Bliss ran through the plains, searching for shade. She had ran for quite some time. Things haven't been the same since she had last seen her mother. She was definitely missing the old days. But all that has changed, besides she was free to roam, she has a pack she belongs to, and she has everything she needs...or think she needs.
Lately, everything has been so confusing to Bliss. She wished she could have a friend to talk to, to stumble upon another wolf, and to have a mate that loves her. With the ability to lead. I dream way to much, She thought, Get your head out of the clouds Bliss, you are asking for way too much. Shaking her head in much disappointment, and being overly distracted she stumbled on a rock, crashing to the ground clumsily.
Way to go, Stupid. She mumbled under her breathe, picking herself off of the grass. It's a warm day for late winter, with the sun shining and no clouds in sight. The rock, Bliss noticed, was not a rock, but a heavily sleeping rabbit. Bliss's stomach growled at her. He he.. stupid rabbit. Bliss thought, It's like it doesn't even know I tripped over it.. Might as well eat now instead of wait. As she bit down on the rabbit's neck and fed, she noticed out the glimpse of her eye that there was a shining figure in the near distance. Figuring it was just another wildlife prey, she ate her rabbit quickly and quietly.

Staphnof slinked under a tussock, and sucked the sweet air into his lungs. He crouched in the grass, his eyes flickering across the landscape. These were no-wolf's lands. Staphnof snorted softly. How idiotic to leave such a choice piece of land open for anywolf to loiter in. But he well remembered the sanctuary the packless lands had once offered him.
He trotted across the great open space, sniffing the air. The sun warmed his back, glinting off his snow-white pelt, but the wind still held a bitter edge, a testament to the cruel winter they'd suffered. The prey was starting to reemerge; perhaps he could catch something to eat. The winter had not been kind to his pack, and they had all had to go hungry some nights. As he wandered, a new scent came to him, the smell of another wolf. Staphen paused. He took in a big waft, filling his lungs with the air; the scent. A she-wolf. Interesting.
Staphen cautiously followed the scent, wary of a small patrol. He crested a little hillock, and then he caught sight of her. A she-wolf, with a pelt as shining white as his own. He tested the air again. All alone. Even more interesting...
He glided toward her, tail raised. Was that fresh blood he smelled? Yes, it was, she'd just made a kill from the looks of it. When he was close enough that she had to have noticed him, he stopped. He was an alpha, it would be an indignity to his rank if he approached her first. He pricked his ears toward her to show his interest.

Bliss rose quickly. She knew she seen another wolf. Now that she scents his presence, she started toward him to introduce herself. Before she got too far from her spot she stopped in her tracks. How long has he been watching me? She thought, His coat and mine are almost alike... but I know he is of another pack. She caustioned closer to the male wolf. It was like he held the perfect pose of a leader. She needed to calm down, it was like she was falling all over again. You don't even know him.
"Hello, Stranger. My name is Bliss. May I ask who you might be?" Bliss said. No use in stalling. She could feel the warm sun on her fur, instead of bleak cold air. She watched the wolf's gestures, slowly, so she can see if the wolf would attack soon or not. Or at least respond to her. Bliss was not in any hurry, but she was not about to lay back down, for she had always had a hard time trusting males. She eased up, trying to relax. she wasn't afraid of him, but didn't want to be tensed. I don't need the stress on myself right now..
She has heard her pack's past many times before, coming from her parents, so she knows about how the good packs and the evil packs are opponents and hate each other, but right now she felt a kind of connection she didn't know how to explain. She hoped maybe he felt the same and they can break off the war and end it so the four packs can become one somehow, like so many wolves have once wished for. Bliss looked up to the sky. There was a cloud that must have just formed. As she stared at that single cloud, she felt peaceful.

"You may, pretty she-wolf," he said.
Staphnof stood at attention, seizing up the female. His cold eyes surveyed her with interest. Her stance was unsure, not at all like a high ranking wolf. But she addressed him confidently enough. Hmm...
Bliss, she said her name was. Bliss was a rare thing to find in a cruel world, if it even existed at all. Staphen had never felt it at all, so he was curious as to why the she-wolf was called that.
"I am Staphnof, Leader of the Futeki Pack." He made no attempt to sound impressive or intimidating. It was a fact. He shifted his weight, lazily wagging his tail like a banner. His stomach suddenly rumbled softly, and he remembered why he came out here in the first place. He pushed his hunger down, and instead focused on the she-wolf with the interesting name.
To distract himself from his hunger, Staphnof tried out her name. "Bliss," letting it roll around on his tongue, picking up the soft hissing sound on the end. "What an interesting... and unique, name. Forgive me if I'm prying, but I was simply curious as to why you are wandering about out here...all alone?"
He asked, because he didn't want to be the victim of an ambush. If her pack was around, he wasn't going to stick around. Oh, they'd love to get their fangs in his neck if they caught him with one of their own. Staphnof wasn't about to risk his life for the exchanging of pleasantries.

Bliss was extremely taken up on Staphnof's flattery, but was still alert. Complements from an Alpha, She thought, Interesting, I must be of some kind of liking to him, right? Bliss stood in her lead pose, to show she was not afraid, nor wanting a fight. The wind was beginning to pick up, and as it blew, she noticed another new scent. Mmm. More prey. She thought out loud. But it was a new scent of prey to her, a mix, as she took in the scent, A mix of coyote and carrabou...maybe, Bliss thought to herself..
As she watched and listened to him speak, she stood in her position. Watching the wind pick up and die down, that single cloud in the sky, and the faint whispers on this plain. Bliss was at peace with herself. Flashing back to a time she remembered when she was a pup, Her mother's playful paws, the way she smelt. Bliss took in the air, as she did so, she felt she could smell her mother right beside her. And despite the question Staphnof asked, she forgot her troubles.
I'm alone because I have no pack in which I belong to. And I needed to find some peace. Bliss answered. She was very content in their conversation. But she was feeling a little weak from running a couple of hours ago, so she laid down in the grass. I'm sorry, I am rather tired from a long run. She said softly, You don't mind if I just lay down for a few minutes, right? She was trying to be polite, and not knowing Staphnof for very long, she didn't want to seem rude. [/blockquote]

Staphnof raised his face to the sky and tasted the wind. His stomach grumbled. carra'boo'... He was too hungry to notice any other scent. His mouth watered at the thought of sinking his fangs into living meat...
He tore himself from thoughts of his stomach, and watched her quizzically. She seemed so at ease with him; she was either very stupid, or very brave. Staphen couldn't just yet tell which it was; in his experience the two shared a border thinner then a hair. He was a Futeki wolf... an Alpha, he should demand her respect, her fear. The fact that she acted so at ease with him, even laying down, was a puzzlement to him.
But he didn't show his confusion. A wolf of his own pack, he would've berated for such insolence; to lay down in his presence, tired or not. But he only nodded toward her, and let her rest. Bliss wasn't a member of his pack, and he wasn't responsible for her actions.
If she was going to rest, Staphnof was going to eat. He was hungry, and eager to kill. He walked a little way from her, and scanned the horizon.
He considered asking her to join him to hunt. He didn't particularly need her, or even want her on a hunt with him. He was sure she wouldn't be useful. "Excuse me, my stomach beckons me elsewhere," He loped off toward the carra'boo' scent without looking back. But after a few lengths, he stopped to see if she'd followed him. He was too curious about her to simply walk away.

Through the eyes of Cassey
Cassey was laying on her back, enjoying the feel of the cool reeds against her back as she lay listening to the gurgling of the nearby river. She was enjoying being away from the pack for a while, though, for the most part she enjoyed her role, she sometimes liked to have a moment to herself, like now. Ahh this feels so relaxing she sighed to herself.
She closed her eyes for a few moment, and then they darted open and the familiar scent of rabbit. She jumped up immediately, eyes bright, and as she saw the rebbit, she began to stalk nearer and nearer to her prey, and when she was about a foot away... the rabbit heard her and darted off, Damn she murmured as she took off chasing the rabbit. Her eyes locked onto the rabbit and she was so entralled in the chance that she didnt notice the other wolves that drew nearer and nearer, and were directly in her pack until, thunk she ran into a male. She stumbled, but kept her footing, her head going a little hazy for a few moments.

Bliss had known she smelt an unfamiliar scent a while ago. Now she was smelling it again, as it drew closer and closer. Another she-wolf, she thought, These lands are just full of surprises. She rose up to follow Staphen, there was no way she was going to let him have all the fun with that she-wolf drawing near.
Not too long after she stood up, she heard a thud, and sighted Staphen and the she-wolf, as the intruder had so rudely ran into him, and as Bliss watched the she-wolf trying to keep her balance. Sighing, she thought, I'm glad there is more wolves to met, but this wasn't exactly my idea of introduction...
"Are you both alright?" Bliss said trying not to sound angry at the she-wolf, while walking next to Staphnof, to offer help if he needed, and to show the she-wolf that she was after him first. She was really growing attached to him in such little timing, and didn't want to lose him so quickly as she met him. "Who are you, anyway?" She asked the she-wolf, lifting her head up as to point.

Through the eyes of Cassey
As Casseys head cleared, she noticed the other she-wolf, and, as she looked closer, noticed her possesive behavior. She rolled her eyes and couldnt hold back a small smirk. The she-wolf wasnt of a high position, she could clearly tell, though she looked quite promising as a future alphess.
She let her gaze travel to the male, and a bit smirk crossed her face as she realized it was Staphnof Alpha of the Futeki Pack. She flashed her vision back to the she-wolf and raised her stance, Im Cassey, Alphess of the Kin Numa Pack, and who might be? She asked, looking the she-wolf over carefully. After a minute, she sat down and relaxed her stance.

Staphnof was intent on the scent of his coming meal - so intent by the time he picked up the sound of someone rushing toward him, it was too late to step out of the way. He ducked into a fighting stance, but before he could utter a warning, he was knocked off his feet by an unexpected force. He went rolling, and then leaped up, ears up, fangs out, hair raised.
He faced his attacker, studying her closely, waiting for her next move. Staphen tensed, like a coiled snake ready to strike at the first sign of danger. He curled his tail over his back to show he wasn't about to back down.
He glared at the gray female, waiting for that telltale tip of the ears, or twist of the head that would give away her attack.
Bliss came rushing over. If it came to a fight would she help him, or turn on him? But when she choose to stand by him, he relaxed, just a little. She didn't seem to think this wolf was any threat; asking if they were all right, who she was. It was really none of her business. Staphnof couldn't see that Bliss was really just kind-hearted; he still didn't know what to make of her.

Bliss looked up quickly at the sky. She was tired, and just wanted rest. She looked back down at the small situation they found their selves in. So, she is another alphess. I guess that almost covers them all. Straighting up, Bliss smiled.
"I am Bliss, a loner, for yet i have no chosen pack that i belong to." She said respectfully, hiding her wariness. "We were just about to join together in a hunt for carra'boo', Maybe she'd like to join?" Asking both Cassey and Staphen. The wind had stopped blowing her fur and she was beginning to get a little warmer, and started to gain some strength despite her restfulness. While keeping an eye on Cassey she looked around carefully for her precious carra'boo' feed. She didn't know much about this she-wolf still and did not want to let her guard down.
There was no real way to describe her confused feelings, so she pressed them aside, as to not distract her very much. I know I'm going to have a tiresome headache later on while i sort my day out. She bickered to herself. Bliss was never the one to sleep great. She was always waking up to the strangest things, like whispers in the night, and birds crying. She remembered the last time she actually slept good. It was when she was with her mother. I miss you dearly, she cried out in her mind. Focusing on the present, Bliss shut the rough memories away again.
"Am I the only one hungry now?" She laughed, as she began slowly walking toward the carra'boo' crowd. Just as the wind blew, she turned to the other wolves, "Coming or not?" she said with a teasing smile.

Through the eyes of Cassey
Oh, well, nice to meet you, Cassey replied to Bliss. Hmm He doesn't talk much.. She noted about Staphnof Another stuck up jerk. She looked back at Bliss, Sure, not like i have anything else to do right now., she replied after a few moments. She noticed Staphnof relax a bit and chuckled to herself. She looked up for a brisk second, letting her neck stretch as she looked at a passing cloud. When she looked back to the other two wolves, she relaxed, feeling no threat for the moment, though she stayed alert. As Bliss stood and walked on, Cassey briskly jogged past her, and stood just to the side of her, and a little ahead, then turned to look the other way. Coming? She asked Staphnof, mimicking Bliss's expression.
ooc// Ugh sooooo short >.<

When the white she-wolf mentioned food, Staphnof's stomach gave a pang of neglect. He was starving.
"I would be pleased to accompany you lovely ladies," he said, but his demeanor betrayed that he wasn't pleased at all. He let his hair lay back down along his neck, but he remained tense.
"I'm afraid I haven't properly introduced myself. I'm Staphnof, but you probably know me already." He glared coldly at Cassey, almost daring her to say anything about it.
This could be a good opportunity to observe the rival alphess, to discover her strengths and weakness for him to exploit later. Yes, everything was an opportunity.
With out waiting for them, he let out an excited snarl, and bounded off toward the carra'boo' scent. He started his pace off slow and steady, but soon gave way into full out run. He didn't bother to see if the two she-wolves were following, something told him they were there.

Through the eyes of Cassey
Cassey gave a light growl, For being so 'evil' you really dont hide your emothions well, she said seductively, while circling him, and once she had completed a full circle, she sat down. Who doesn't know you, she whispered under her breath at his oh-so-formal introduction. She watched him get up, and began, slowly, to jog off. She turned to face Bliss, You know, you never stroke me as the evil type, but hey, if you're going for him, then you gotta be.
She hesitated for a moment, but then, a little reluctantly, began to run after him. After a few seconds she sped up a little, until she was running right next to him. She glanced at him for just a moment before she looked back ahead, and sped up a tiny bit more, to where she was just passing him. She smirked to herself.

Bliss had waited for them long enough and as the other wolves passed her she slowed her pace. I can be evil when I want to be, She thought. After a few seconds, she raced up to them and kept their speed. She ran toward the carra'boo', then slowed as to pick out her choice without scaring the rest.
There, she thought, that calf looks great. She was positioned, and the calf was alone. She had came at the perfect time. Bliss ran quickly at the calf, making little noise, she caught the calf by its neck and snapped it, to put out its suffering. She was enjoying herself as she silently ate, tearing the meat quickly. Before she got half way through, she stopped, full and content with herself. She rose her front legs up to a sitting position, and looked toward Cassey and Staphen. "That was great, but I'm finished, anyone want the rest?" She asked politely. She didn't want the carcass to go to waste...
